 Charlie Rock gets her name
I used the heat gun with flat directing nozzle and a wide putty knife for removal. Slow and steady, let the heat do the work, no gelcoat damage. The cape cruiser name had been there for 14 years. A light scrub with acetone removed all the glue and adhesive residue. A quick buff with sopay water, then windex removed all the acetone. Water side vs dock side was a little dicey for all steps. Should have reversed the boat in her slip for the starboard.
