Wed, 6/27, ready to leave the farm tomorrow after work!!!

Turbo controller went out at Perry, OK, 6/28 had to spend the nite on the hard by the roadside.

Torrential rains meant another night on the hard Fri, 6/29, in Gainsville,TX.

Sat. Eve, 6/30, finally on the water!! 'Got dark quick and had to dodge shallow water, abandoned oil rigs and oyster beds, so called it quits early.

The Houston Shipping channel is like a four lane highway, packed with huge ships.

Submerged wreck by the Galveston North Jetty was an excellent fishing spot. The bird on the left just dived in this one.

Whatever type of fishing we were doing, the boys would cast off the side with small gear just to see what would bit.

Anchored off an active oil rig about 3 miles out. We did pretty good here several days in a row.

Oldest son, Christopher, was our resident fishing guide. He set us on fish most of the time and knew all the tricks - well at least more than his old man...

Youngest son, Cameron,(left) was only down there a few days so he never set the rod down. He was always trying one or two things at once and caught alot of interesting things.

My inland lakes fishnet was no match for saltwater fish.

Cameron caught this nice fish using light tackle on the side and he had to go all around the boat to tire it out. Proof you can land a nice fish on the bow of a TomCat.

Do you all know what it's like to spend a few days fishing with someone who's always got a 'bent' rod?
