 Gelcoat repairs 
11 transom screws or former screws sealed with adhesive sealant were removed, properly filled, and a gelcoat patch kit applied.  Color matching of the kit was definitely off.

Holes were drilled out, cleaned, and surfboard epoxy filled.  Gelcoat will adhere to surfboard epoxy with no problems. Holes are ready for gelcoat.

Starboard gelcoat was applied but did not fully fill the depressions. Cleaned with acetone and applied a second coat. After sanding level a few air bubbles showed so a third very light
Starboard gelcoat was applied but did not fully fill the depressions. Cleaned with acetone and applied a second coat. After sanding level a few air bubbles showed so a third very light "wash" coat filled the bubbles and it ended up a perfect color match.

Port transom 4 screws removed holes patched using a Spectrum patch kit. If I had to do it over I'd not use a patch kit. Getting the catalyst right takes experimentation. Kit doesn't leave room for experimentation.  Quart of blue is on order....
