another shot of the 3/8 round rod welded in to try and prevent cracks. We are trailering to Yellowstone and Grand Teton from Pa. in early August.  so we shall see how well this works. It held up well 6600 miles no recracking.

Used existing hole and bolt added the turnbuckle mounted wiith backing plate tightened up turnbuckle. Did stiffen up fenders added to front and back both sides

Ready to install fender brace provided by Float On.Seems like it should be longer and have different bends so it will attach further out on the fender mounting channel

Added gussets to light and licence plate bracket. Next need to add a loop of stainless steel stranded wire to loop around the frame and licence plate. The new bracket is also thicker adding the bottom gusset was a loser as it had to be cut away some to clear a bolt. The old bracket is laying on the floor

did both sides we have over 20k on our trailer. Don't want cheap brackets breaking and losing licence plate or letting LED lights get road rash.

Rear view this should never break Used a 10.5" square piece of multiply conveyor belt. It can be cut with a sharp razor knife. Use over sized drill bits for holes when drilling the belt material. 30k + plus miles this is our original license plate.

Retaining cable fails in half hooking up in 11 degree weather. Coated cable looked to have had corrosion caused by road salt just past the crimp. Removed and replaced with chain
